The PocDoc service offers a comprehensive cholesterol test that measures five key markers:
- Total Cholesterol: The overall amount of cholesterol in your blood.
- HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein): Often referred to as “good” cholesterol, which helps remove bad cholesterol from your arteries.
- Non-HDL or LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein): Known as “bad” cholesterol, which can build up in the walls of your arteries and increase your risk of heart disease.
- Triglycerides: A type of fat found in your blood that, in high levels, can increase your risk of heart disease.
Total Cholesterol/HDL - Ratio: A ratio that helps determine your risk of developing heart disease.
